Fume Control Systems are basically designed to extract small solid particles of condensed vapour especially metals, as in welding or melting processes. The particles usually fall into the 00.1 to 1.0 micron particle size. Mists, Smoke and Vapours are generally aerosols or material in a gaseous state generally fall into a similar particle range.
Again Fume Extraction Systems can range from for example a small Fume Extraction Arm extracting from a single welding source to multiple sources requiring a Centralised Fume Control System. These Extract Systems may need a suitable Abatement Plant to clean the air before returning to atmosphere. |
